Balancing a full-time nursing job with online coursework isn't easy, but for one recent graduate, it paid off with a promotion into hospital administration less than a year after finishing her degree.
"I did most of my coursework on night shifts and weekends," she said. "Having a program that let me move at my own pace made the difference between finishing and giving up."
She now oversees scheduling and patient-care coordination for a mid-sized regional hospital, and credits her coursework in healthcare administration for giving her the confidence to apply for the role.
Stories like hers are part of an ongoing alumni spotlight series highlighting graduates who completed their degrees while working full-time.
